Last week, the court-appointed Casa Ruby receiver announced she was suing the organization’s Board of Directors over lax oversight. This is the latest development since Casa Ruby, the D.C. nonprofit that provided transitional housing for LGBTQ+ youth was dissolved after its founder fled to El Salvador under a cloud of accusations that funds were misused.
