This was profound and very necessary for me at this moment in my life. I have been out since I was 14 due to no action of my own. I decided to dive head first into being a queer (and black) leader. The on-going worry of me being too much, too bold, too black, and too gay has been picking up steam. Fabrice, thanks for confirming that I have every right to live as I see fit. I now believe in the mantra, "It's not me, it's you."
This is perhaps the best (of so many incredible) posts I've ever read by Fabrice. It's staggering in its honesty. It's honestly raw in its truth. And perfectly captures how so many of us are feeling, yet so many ignore. I'd love to see everyone send this to someone who has minimized us or turned their backs on us. I know I will.

Fantastic post! Absolutely thought provoking and well-laid out. This should be a LTE in every major U.S. newspaper.
Great points. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
